I have been one busy human being, and much goodness is in the works from onehumanbeing.com in the weeks ahead…

As you can see from the picture above – this blog is getting a redesign, both to speed up the page loading and make the site easier to understand, navigate, and all-around more enjoyable. I think of myself as a blogging rookie this year – but I’m getting this thing figured out.

As I’ve been working, a theme and approach to my work has surfaced after 11 or so years of meditating on this idea: Share Your Truth.

I first felt the compulsion of this idea in March of 1998, and have spent a long time growing out of who I was and into the skin of this idea… All things in the fullness of time.

As we begin 2009 I feel compelled, an urging from every creative part of me to orient on this idea…

I wasn’t expecting to move this way – I have a whole other agenda prepared and ready to build… but that is the way of the Spirit, and I am just the wind… going where the pressures of the Spirit move me.

On the plate, but out-of-view right now, are the following site updates:

  • onehumanbeing.com – better organization and navigation.
  • The MMJ Project – complete make-over to accomplish goals I originally started with (more on that when the redesign is ready, but you can go peek at it if you like…) including medical marijuana graphics and other souvenirs of the project available for download (through Creative Commons licensing) and merchandise to purchase through CafePress.
  • The Medical Marijuana Lists – a major piece of work from The MMJ Project, very big project site underway – anticipated launch date is January 31, 2009

I got a new set of headphones a couple of weeks ago with a microphone, so I started working on some new experiments, like this one (created on 12-17-2008) – “the sound of onehumanbeing”

I’ve been making sound collages for many years and this is the first time in a long while that I’ve used my own voice… now I’m thinking about adding a podcast to my blog… we’ll see.

I get all the news I need on the weather report

Idea’s have been collecting in my mind like drops of water collecting in rain clouds… for days now I’ve been waiting for the rain.

Since Wednesday I’ve been wanting to start blogging again but it’s been like a low pressure front keeping me low, sleeping, dreaming, reading, held down with my mind flying away like a kite on the wind looking over the broad landscape…

Like the wind ready to bring on a storm my mind has tumbled around, round and round with all the debris I’ve collected…

Today’s weather report: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers… Rain expected overnight.

STEW – A little something I’ve been cooking up to help feed us as we head into the election and through to the other side… it’s a little bit politics and a little bit Reformation 2.0 – It’s today’s headlines ripped straight from the pages of The Bible, or pages of The Bible ripped straight from today’s headlines… or something like that. It’s the end of the Bushworld as we know it, thank God!

I’ll give you a little clue before we get started; if you want to get a jump on the story, get out your Bible and do a little reading and thinking: Genesis 25-27, read before the story and after to get a bigger picture.

Soon we’ll be entering the land of imagery and symbols, people types, Biblical events that hint at today’s events and the other devices of the poets and mystics… if you have the eyes to read with, come along.

Carmel By The Sea

Time to take a break from the politics and get out of town…

This Sunday, October 12th is our 22nd year anniversary and our friend Erik Bueno (thank you Erik) has invited us to stay for the weekend at his cottage in Carmel-By-The-Sea called Quail’s Nest (the cottages in Carmel have names…)

This is the third time we’ve been to the Nest, but the first time for our anniversary, and our first time with our dogs, Moseley and Suki.

Over the weekend I’ll be posting photos from past Nest adventure. Actually, the blog program will post them – I’m setting them up tonight before we go… Enjoy, and I’ll reply to all emails when we return on Wednesday.

The photo for today was taken on the short walk to the ecological preserve and ocean back in July of 2005, when we made our first trip to the Nest.

Also – Thanks Derek for watching our place while we’re gone.

Making plans… trying to change my website around. I’ve been using an Open Source program called Joomla for my last version of onehumanbeing.com, but now I’m switching over to WordPress so I can blog, along with having image galleries, forums and a whole mess of other stuff…

I’ll be working on posting a random image of my day, either a found image, a collage, a political cartoon, a sticker… whatever is capturing my eye today, everyday.
