PORTFOLIO – The Art of Jon Christopher

Jon, onehumanbeing“So, what do you do?”

“I’m an artist.”

“Really, what kind of art do you make? Do you paint?”

This is where I always pause, while my brain quickly runs through the mental catalog of the numerous art objects I’ve created over my lifetime, the wide variety…

“I do all kinds of stuff…” I usually end up replying.

If they look like they might want to hear more, I might say, “Mostly I make collages. Just about everything I do is based on collage – putting separate items together to create a new image, object, idea, sound-scape etc.”

Most people seem to go blank at this point. That’s when I throw in a new idea for them to consider, “Right now I’m focused on consciousness, and how to make art out of consciousness.”

I’m very proud of the brave people who want to find out more after that…

Introducing PORTFOLIO

PORTFOLIO from onehumanbeing.com

  • 112 Paintings
  • 98 Drawings
  • 155 Collages
  • 41 Photo Works
  • 9 Videos
  • Sound Collages – 6 albums, 7 EPs, 5 Singles and 4 Early Works

I’ve spent the last week (about 80 hours of computer time) adding work to the online retrospective show of my art since 1991. This is a major upgrade to a site I started work on in 2011 – if you visited it before you’ll find that the whole site has been extensively updated.

It’s been a very involved process, and just might be my favorite website I’ve ever built.

The PORTFOLIO is now open and ready for viewing! Continue reading

Making Sound Collages…

Just a little thought about the process

When I’m making a sound collage it’s an experience that is very visual for me, like I’m working on a physical collage – except the picture is just in my head, and what everyone else experiences is an audio experience.

In my mind I’m seeing something like a Robert Rauschenberg collage painting…

Above: Kennedy by Robert Rauschenberg

And then there’s the mixer (shown below), which doesn’t look like the picture of the collage in my head, but creates a secondary image of the collage framework I have to work with to translate my mental image into audio form.

Here’s a screen shot of my latest sound collage I’m working on, tentatively called Souvenirs From The End Of The World

Building The Sound Collage

I tear off a large piece of some song or sound piece that I want to use as a background texture. I paste that down and then add various elements to build the collage.

If I have a theme in mind I gather materials to use to support my theme – a song clip of this, a loop of that, a variety of incidentals, maybe a major quote or two, and sometimes an extended spoken word piece.

If I don’t have a theme then I’ll go deeper into the sub-conscious and dig through some material I’ve collected and hear what catches my ear, and then another thing and then another… and slowly I start seeing and hearing the direction the sound collage is going to go and I gather more materials to support that direction.

All in all it’s a 25% purpose-driven and about 75% intuition-driven. I’m working on bringing up that intuition percentage.

Do It Yourself and Give It Away

On my birthday, back on June 18th, I got the idea in my head that NOW would be a good time to look into making a CD out of my latest group of sound collages and call it Grand Deception Star.

Now it is the end of July, a day before Tania’s birthday, and I’ve just about completed 7 CD’s of sound collages from UFOverdriver. The artwork is finished and I’m just waiting on 3 test pressings, which are on their way to me, and once those are approved, we have a complete set!

The UFOverdriver CD Collection – 2010 through 2012 (shown above from bottom to top)

My Brilliant Marketing Strategy

If I was doing this to make money, I have the worst marketing strategy in the world – I’ve encouraged people to download all my work for free (which many people have done), even on the same pages where I offer people an opportunity to buy the CD, usually for the outrageous price of $7.99 plus $3.00 – as close to giving it away as I can.

Guess how many CD orders I’ve had since I released the first 4 CD’s on July 25th…

Of course, I said if I was doing this to make money – which I’m not… I’m practicing my favorite form of living – D.I.Y. and G.I.A.

Do It Yourself and Give It Away.

A Few Reasons, But Just A Small Part Of The Bigger Thing…

Even if I wanted to be a good capitalist, I’m just not wired that way – I’d rather give stuff away than have to think about money.

I mean, sure I’d like to have some extra money to buy stuff I need for my art plans, get a little something special for Tania, or have some kind of cushion in our financial budgeting situation, but hey, maybe someday in the future.

One of the reason I love making buttons is they are so easy to give away. I could work out some money-making scheme to try and get people to buy my stuff, but that would just take time away from doing what I really enjoy – making art-objects.

Multiples and the Uniqueness Of Paintings

Selling paintings is something I’ve come to terms with. Each one is such a unique creation you have to put a price on it so it ends up going to the right home.

Above: We Sit At These Tables – a painting that got added to a very good collection this week…

Paintings have a lifetime of their own and good collectors respect that paintings must be hung in a good place, viewed over long periods of time and allowed to live with you as a part of your life.

But some art-objects are multiples – unnumbered series of art-objects, reproduced in limited number or mass-produced – and they are so much easier to give-away.

This is not to say they have no value – value is a whole different subject. Money, giving stuff away – these things have nothing to do with the value of the art-object.

These buttons I make and give away are multiples…

The sound collages, in both their digital form and in their new CD form are also multiples.

Due to the cost of making CD’s, I can’t give them away – but I can just make them as inexpensive as possible.

Sure, I can afford people downloading for free until the end of time, but CD’s – unfortunately those cost money to make.

A CD As An Art-Object

For over twenty years I’ve been thinking about what makes an art-object. Here are two categories I (sometimes) break my work into:

1. External Work – Painting, Large Sculpture, Framed Art, Videos – This is work you stand back from and observe or experience, like a painting on a wall or a sculpture on a pedestal.

2. Internal Work – Handmade Books, Sound Collages, Videos, CD’s – This is work that is experienced as a hands-on experience – like listening to a sound collage or looking through a handmade book.

Video can fall into either category.

These are rather imperfect category names – but that’s how I define them for myself.

The Art-Object As Revolution Against The Monetary System…

To me, an “art-object” is a created, non-commercial object, which can be either given away, or sold in a commercial transaction.

Sure, I could be like everyone else and go for the money, but I hate the current monetary system, so giving stuff away subverts and by-passes the whole commercial system.

Even if I sell my work, I can under-cut the monetary system by pricing “below value” and inducing a state of monetary-dissonance – when “value” and “price” don’t match.

My marketing system will not help you pay your rent – you’ll probably use your rent money to create art-objects any ways – and could be referred to as a “get-poor-quick” scheme. I don’t recommend my methods to anyone.

As for me, I’m just built this way – I’m going to take those ideas that flow through my head and make stuff, then I’ll probably give it away… D.I.Y. and G.I.A.

About The Process

Since I started UFOverdriver I’ve had it in my mind to eventually put my sound collages on CD’s, but until now I hadn’t found a way to do it that made me happy…

Two years ago I tried to do a handmade set of CD’s, but the project – with all it’s various pieces and elements – quickly got out of hand and then abandoned.

On my birthday I gave it another go, and I was very happy to discover a CD fulfillment company in Minnesota called TrepStar that produces CD’s on demand and sends them out to your fans – just what I needed.

I’ve been working with TrepStar (via emails) for a month and a half and they have been very good at helping me get through this process.

The CD setups aren’t elaborate – Standard Jewel Case with Insert Card – but they are perfect for this project at this moment.

Above: TrepStar project preview page…

So – if you’re an artist or band looking to get some CD’s self-produced here in the good ol’ USA, I’m recommending TrepStar to all my friends…

CD Fulfillment: TrepStar in Minnesota

To Sum This All Up…

That all being said – I’ve created seven art-objects over the last month and a half – 4 are available now and 3 more will be available very soon.

This is for those who what to collect the “art-object”, in physical form, of they favorite sound collages.

I like having CD’s. Once I converted my whole CD collection to digital and sold the CD’s I realized how much I like the physical CD, so I’m slowing building a new CD collection.

Now my CD collection has 7 more CD’s in it.

Until later, best of health.

Grand Deception Star

Original Release Date: June 27, 2012

Number of Tracks: 7

Length: 29:36

About: Some people would say, without a doubt, our country (U.S.A.) has accelerated it’s long move towards manifesting the dsytopian dream of some very secretive individuals and groups.

Through the use of the mainstream media, political manipulations, financial control of the banks and monetary policies, the military industrial complex, the private prison industry and an innumerable amount of deception and lying, these people have created a world of illusion and misinformation that fools many people into believing what they’re told is the true reality.

But it’s not reality – it’s just a grand deception star that’s so bright and luminous, so all encompassing, it obscures the truth and illuminates the lies as reality.

“Exposure to true information does not matter anymore…” (taken from a video of an “ex-KGB agent”…)

This sound collage captures a small piece of this dystopian change, chaos and confusion.

Title“Red Astronaut Painting #1
36″ x 24″
Format –
mixed-media on canvas
February 2011

This painting hangs on the wall across from the sofa I sit on while I write, draw, think, relax, drink my coffee, enjoy my herb, etc., so I’ve spent literally hundreds of hours staring at this Red Astronaut.

I created this painting in February 2011, during the same time period as when I was making my UFOverdriver “Space Odyssey” sound collages; Time Minus One, A Space Odyssey Mix (Dec 2010)  and The Esperanto Group, X Minus One Mix (January 2011)

Here’s the sound collage called Time Minus One, A Space Odyssey Mix – Enjoy!

I’ll be share a few other paintings from the same time in the next few days…

Grand Deception Star Promo #1

“Why do you try and put out a CD during a Mercury Retrograde?” I ask myself… not just one CD, but four of them*.

Since June 27th (when I “officially” released this collection of sound collages through my UFOverdriver bandcamp site) I’ve been working on getting this CD release ready – and it’s been one glitch after another… I’m currently awaiting the latest test-pressings to arrive in the mail and hoping – just hoping – it’s all ready to go this time.

But it’s process – all process.

So while we’re waiting for the test-pressings to arrive, I’m moving on to the next step – Promo Videos and then Merchandise.

Yes UFOverdriver fans, coffee mugs, stickers, buttons, t-shirts and other UFOverdriver merch are headed your way, but first – promo videos!

Here’s promo video #1

That’s all for now – until later, best of health.

Title“Calling Down The UFOverdriver – Album Cover
Dimensions – square format – various sizes
Format –  digital collage
Date – 2010

This is the album cover I designed for UFOverdriver for it’s first EP, which contains the first two UFOverdriver sound collages; Area 5150 and Integratronic.

Here’s the videoscape for Area 5150 – the sound collage that kicked off the UFOverdriver project in January 2010 – Enjoy!

Bonus Tracks

Also included in the EP is two bonus tracks, both them featuring Automatic Pete, the on-board computer – he’s very well spoken and a bit poetic. In the first he explains how the UFOverdriver flies through the air like a Vimana. In the second he gives a dramatic reading of Frank Zappa’s song Trouble Every Day – a real treat, in my opinion.

The Album Cover

The image used is of Shiva and his consort Parvati:

Shiva with Parvati. Shiva is depicted three-eyed, the Ganges flowing through his matted hair (which are yellowish-white or like molten gold), wearing ornaments of serpents and a skull bracelet, and covered in ashes, and Trisula and Damaru are seen in the background.

Grand Deception Star

Documenting the deteriorating connection between truth and reality in these times…

About This Sound Collage Collection

UFOverdriver began creating sound collages in early 2010, and throughout that year released two different digital albums and a number of digital EPs and several collaborative projects.

Since April of 2011, UFOverdriver has limited it’s releases to a small number of digital EPs and single track recordings (you can find all those on the UFOverdriver BandCamp Site), capturing the various impulses from the collective consciousness, and my own impressions on this moment we’re living through – yesterday, today and tomorrow…

Grand Deception Star is a collection of selected sound collages from December of 2010 through May of 2012, and though previously released on their own, make a complete vision when grouped together.

A Grand Deception Star

Some people would say, without a doubt, our country (U.S.A.) has accelerated it’s long move towards manifesting the dsytopian dream of some very secretive individuals and groups.

Track By Track

Track 1 – Transcendence Happening Here – The Earthquake and Tsunami Dream

Released on April 28, 2011
Length: 06:57

This sound collage is built around samples from the Buffalo Springfield classic – “For What It’s Worth”.

The piece takes the form of a dream of an earthquake followed by a tsunami and uses sound clips from audio recordings of the sound of the March 2011 9.0 magnitude earthquake in Japan.

Track 2 – This Land Is Your DreamWe Can Turn It Upside Down Pt.1

Released on November 20, 2011
Length: 02:32

UFOvedriver echos the voices of the 99% in a track that includes “This Land Is Your Land” by Woody Guthrie, the “Put A Bird On It” skit by Portlandia, sound clips from the movie “Ship of Fools” and more…

This track and the next three are from a sound collage EP called “We Can Turn It Upside Down” and the complete group was inspired by the actions of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Track 3 -Life Is But A DreamWe Can Turn It Upside Down Pt.2

Released on November 20, 2011
Length: 02:52

This track includes samples from “Exquisite Corpse” by Bauhaus, “The Ghost of Tom Joad” by Bruce Springsteen, “Mysticism” by Evelyn Underhill, quotes from Alan Watts and other audio material…

Also, the voice at the beginning of this track comes from a video by this cool couple that has built their own small house to travel in – here’s a link: tinyhouseblog.com/tiny-house-video/homemade-spaceship-a-tiny-american-dream-house/

Track 4 -The Old World Order Defense ScreenWe Can Turn It Upside Down Pt.3

Released on November 20, 2011
Length: 01:18

This track includes a man raving at a shopping mall, lots of typewriter sounds and Alan Watts pontificating…

Track 5 – The Highway Is A Riot TonightWe Can Turn It Upside Down Pt.4

Released on November 20, 2011
Length: 02:36

This track includes audio from the fall of 2011 police crackdowns on Occupy Davis and Occupy Oakland, samples from “The Ghost of Tom Joad” by Bruce Springsteen, quotes from Alan Watts and other audio material…

Track 6 – Has Anybody Seen Sam Lowry? The Seven Curses Mix

Released on February 20, 2012
Length: 09:57

The title of this track comes from a quote in the epic dystopian movie Brazil by Terry Gilliam and uses various sound clips from that film.

When Obama signed the NDAA on New Year’s Eve, 2011 and opened the door to indefinite military detention for American citizens, we slipped further into the gravity of the Grand Deception Star…

After laying down “seven curses on a judge so cruel”, this track goes into the collective unconscious, wondering – Dreams, Choices, Decision, Stories… how does the world come into existence?

There is a long monologue during this sound collage – it comes from the opening scene of the classic stream-of-consciousness movie Slacker by Richard Linklater while riding in a cab from the bus station to the next scene in the movie.

Track 7 – Make Today The Day

Released on May 28, 2012
Length: 03:24

This track brings us into the heart of the Grand Deception Star –

“Politics is weird… and creepy, and now I know it lacks even the loosest attachment to anything like reality…” – Shep Smith

Using sound clips, atmospheric loops, video footage shot in Joshua Tree, along with the usual UFOverdriver blend of dreams, the sub-conscious, and the everyday, this sound collage visualscape from UFOverdriver takes a ride through the desert in that strange zone between the blue pill and the red pill, the real and the super-real.

“Exposure to true information does not matter anymore…”

“We talked through the air in those days… thousands and thousands of miles…”

Notes about the day… New American Prayers

Today is June 2, 2010 – and the second day of my lamentations for America… my soul is crying. Weeping and wailing and throwing ashes on my head (figuratively speaking) – so sad.

I have been working on some sound collages for the last couple of night, ever since we returned from camping in the desert… the working title is New American Prayers

…a variety of pieces based on, or inspired by, the album by Jim Morrison and The Doors called An American Prayer.

This project is not the source of my lamentations, only an expression, and not nearly adequate yet…

Introducing UFOverdriver

My new sound collages now have a project name – UFOverdriver

That’s pronounced “You-Eff-Overdriver”… and the U and the F are initials that stand for lots of different things… but that’s something we’ll discuss sometime later down the road.

Here’s the first sound collage created under this name (even though my previous sound collage called Area 5150 is being retroactively added to the UFOverdriver project); it’s called:

Integratronic – The Obscure Transmissions Mix.
Running Time:
9 minutes and 20 seconds

[media id=48 width=500 height=350]

About this piece…

“This is Long John once again with The Party Line…”

The basic drum track and the first synthesizer tracks were laid down in just a couple of hours, and then proceeded to get reshaped until I found a mix I liked a couple of days later on Thursday afternoon, January 28th… then I started to add the voices of Long John Nebel and George Van Tassel to the mix.

These voices were taken from a public domain recording of the Long John Nebel’s early morning AM radio show in the mid-1950’s – you can download this recording here: http://www.archive.org/details/LongJohnNebel062157GeorgeVanTasselRidinginaFlyingSaucer

The recording is interesting in pieces, but the audio quality is horrible, so I decided to just make it even more obscure sounding for my collage… I had space transmissions in mind.

Some Quotes Used In This Piece

The following are (mostly) from George Van Tassel

  • These beings are not like us… however, they have many advantages over us… they don’t have to walk around like we do…
  • They move by an act called levitation… uhh, and they don’t have to turn when they go… they’re shaped like, umm, uhh, an electric light bulb…
  • Van Tassel: They don’t have to turn to look, they can see in all directions at once – Interrupted by Long John: Are you talking about about beings from another planet? Van Tassel continuing: I’m talking about intelligent beings…
  • Van Tassel: I’m talking about intelligent beings… other forms of life Interrupted by Long John: From other planets? Van Tassel continuing: I don’t know… I don’t know if I can classify us with them or not…
  • A thought is what it is, it can’t be anything else (statement followed by indistinguishable word sounds…)
  • Long John: Was this at Giant Rock Airport? Van Tassel: Yes, this was at Giant Rock. Long John: Underneath the rock? Van Tassel: Yes, under the rock…

The rest of the quotes I’ll leave as a mystery for you to discover…

About the Integratron and George Van Tassel

Before last March (click here to go to the March 2009 post with photos of our trip to Pioneer Town, The Integratron, Giant Rock and Joshua Tree) I had never heard of a very unusual building that exists in Landers, out the Mojave desert near Joshua Tree called The Integratron

Nor had I heard of it’s creator, a man named George Van Tassel or the huge rock in the desert nearby called Giant Rock where George Van Tassel claimed he had contacted the aliens that had given him the plans to build The Integratron – a body rejuvenation machine.

Here’s some Wikipedia info to fill in the story…

George Van Tassel

George Van Tassel was a former aircraft mechanic and flight inspector who moved out to California’s Mojave Desert to operate an airport and inn. During his time there, he supposedly began meditating under Giant Rock, which the Native Americans of the area held to be sacred.

In August 1953, Van Tassel claimed that he had been contacted both telepathically and later in person by Venusians, who gave him a technique to rejuvenate human cell tissues. Van Tassel, acting on these instructions, began constructing the Integratron in 1954.

Construction costs were paid for by an annual series of successful UFO conventions, the Giant Rock Spacecraft Conventions, which continued for nearly 25 years. Van Tassel was clearly inspired by earlier 1950s contactee George Adamski.

Construction of the Integratron was supposedly complete in 1959, but Van Tassel continued to make minor modifications until his sudden death in 1978.

The Integratron – Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integratron
George Van Tassel – Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Van_Tassel

The Integratron

The Integratron is a dome-shaped structure constructed out of plywood and fiberglass by George Van Tassel. He built the structure in Landers, California, USA as a “rejuvenation machine” supposedly following instructions provided by visitors from the planet Venus.

The workings of the Integratron, according to Van Tassel, supposedly rely chiefly on two principles.

The first principle involves the occult sacred geometry of domes, and their ability to concentrate mystical “energies” within the earth. The Integratron is also said to be constructed atop a powerful “energy vortex”. According to adherents of this belief, the dome-shape naturally concentrates the energies of the vortex for the benefit of users. Also, the building is said to borrow design cues from the Tabernacle of Moses and the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza, both of which were thought by some occultists to have similar “energy focusing” properties.

The second part of the theory centers around the belief that human beings are truly electrical in nature. It is believed that, though each individual has his unique personal “wavelength,” the multiple wavelengths of energy put out by “focusing and concentrating devices” such as the Integratron will find a “resonance” with the individual’s basic harmonic frequency and “re-charge” his cellular structure, as if he were a battery.

Giant Rock

Giant Rock is a large freestanding boulder in the Mojave Desert near Landers, California, that covers 5,800 square feet (540 m2) of ground and is seven stories high.

In ancient times it was considered sacred by the Native Americans of the Joshua Tree, California, area.

In the 1950s it was a gathering point for UFO believers. It is located on land which was at that time leased by George Van Tassel, a purported flying-saucer contactee and organizer of UFO conventions.[1]

Van Tassel also built the nearby Integratron and a small airport in the vicinity, which he operated from 1947 to 1975.

A single large room, which was subsequently filled in, was dug beneath the rock and resided in by a prospector named Frank Critzer during the 1930s and early 1940s. Critzer, a friend of Van Tassel’s, perished in a self-detonated dynamite explosion in this room on July 24, 1942, while being investigated by local police.[2]

Shortly after the turn of the 21st century, Giant Rock fractured in two, revealing an interior of white granite. The entire exterior surface of the rock is now reportedly covered in graffiti.[3]

Eccentric Activities – 1985/86

What Are Sound Collages?

As a little kid I was fascinated by my parent’s cassette recorder and would play with it all the time, making recordings and dreaming about making what I now call sound collages.

A sound collage is like a paper collage, but using audio samples, synthesizers, drum tracks and other audio material to create a new work — not a “song” necessarily — but something like an auditory adventure, made out of the various found materials and full of sound textures, chance happenings and odd bits of sound to trigger thoughts, memories or ideas… like soundtracks for stream-of-conscious movies that never existed.

When I was almost twenty I got a synthesizer and finally started making some of the things I dreamed about when I was a little kid, and twenty five years later I’m still trying to make those kind of recordings.

About Eccentric Activities

The members of Eccentric Activities included myself, a Roland Juno-60 Synthesizer, a Fostex X-15 four-track recorder, various sound effects records, and some odd tape machines and half-broken effects pedals.

Sometimes my friend Mark Powell (he sang for several of the bands I was in) would come by and add vocals… and once I spent an evening recording some Eccentric Activities material with a couple of Mark’s friends (tracks 5 and 6 of the playlist below.)

The Juno-60

I loved my Juno-60! I got it in April of 1984 and it changed my life.

I had a friend at the time name Mark (a different Mark) who had been a Mod with me, but he had become more of a New Romantic (a fashion sub-culture of the time into bands like Visage, Adam Ant, early Duran Duran, Simple Minds) and he talked me into getting this synthesizer.

We both got synthesizers and we were going to be the new Depeche Mode or OMD (Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark) – that never worked out…

I sold my Juno-60 so Tania and I could have some money for moving to Minnesota in August of 1987 (We had a big moving sale and sold everything we had – but that’s a story for another time).

I used to miss my Juno a lot, but now I have a software version on my computer – so that helps. I’d sure would love to have an original though…

The Ol’ Fostex X-15

I had a girlfriend in the early 80’s named Angela and one of the last things she did for me was buy this four-track recorder so I could try and make better recordings of my keyboard ramblings, which, I was convinced at the time, would lead to musical fame and fortune…

I made a bunch of recordings with the machine but it had a fatal flaw, a low-hum around 120-130 Hz that was really annoying and just got worse when you made tape copies of tape copies, like we did back then.

Lucky for you, now, with the Magic of Digital Recording I can clean up the tracks somewhat (I’m not a professional) and so what you hear on these versions have had noise reduction with a better frequency equalization than the original copies. You can hear my clumsy keyboard playing much better now.

Back in 1988, while Tania and I lived in Minneapolis I traded the four-track recorder to a heavy metal band for something “herbal”, and that was the end of Eccentric Activities.

The X-15 had been the heart of the project, the Juno-60 was the voice, and I had been the hands.

While working on this post I found this listing of a Fostex X-15 just like my old one for sale in Minneapolis on craigslist… I wonder if it’s the same one? And no, I don’t want it back…

About The Selection of Compositions

This is only seven out of over a dozen different compositions from the time. I’ve deliberately spared you from having to hear any tracks with my thin, young voice and bad singing.

Unfortunately that does mean you don’t get to hear my cover version of Joy Division’s She’s Lost Control unless I can figure out how to do a good “vocal-removal” from the original mix.

Misc. Notes

The Eccentric Activities “scratchy writing” logo is from a little sketch I drew (that little guy was called “Content Guy”) which Tania used to hand-cut a silkscreen in her class at school (she was in her senior year of high school when we met) and then she surprised me with some Eccentric Activities T-Shirts she had hand-printed – so cool!

The graphics for the songs on this playlist are images from photocopied contact sheets of photos of me and my friend Betsy, taken by artist Zane Ott sometime in 1985. I used these same photocopied contact sheets for the insert of the cassette tape of Eccentric Activities I made in late 1986…

A Seven Song Playlist…

So you can just kick back and listen to all 7 songs, one after the other…

the sound of onehumanbeing

I got a new set of headphones a couple of weeks ago with a microphone, so I started working on some new experiments, like this one (created on 12-17-2008) – “the sound of onehumanbeing”

[media id=30 width=500 height=20]

I’ve been making sound collages for many years and this is the first time in a long while that I’ve used my own voice… now I’m thinking about adding a podcast to my blog… we’ll see.
